Our youngest students are learning to read. Watching this happen is magical! The Science of Reading tells us that children learn best through systematic and explicit instruction and by having access to decodable texts where they can practice reading spelling patterns. Support our earliest readers for years to come by donating the purchase of “decodable texts” for our emerging readers!

We have a beautiful campus, an enchanted forest, fields, basketball courts, and endless places to explore. Not only do students play outdoors daily, but they also participate in regular nature walks. Our Nature Walk package includes watercolors, journals, field guides, binoculars, nets, and baskets.

Ensure that our students experience all our local environment offers as we plan field trips throughout the year. Trips include apple picking, Crane Beach, Boston Symphony Orchestra, North Shore Music Theater productions, and others.

We are fortunate to offer visual arts classes here at Saint George. Support this program as we begin to grow our supplies. This package includes artist study prints, a drying rack, clay, acrylic paint, and brushes.

A winter supply of tissues, disinfecting wipes, and cleaning spray will keep us all healthy and in school all winter.

Package 2: Help us build our imaginations with wooden puzzles, Noah’s Ark, beautiful dolls, a woodland play area, wooden blocks, and puppets.

Students gather each morning for assembly. We sing, pray, share saints’ lives, recite poetry, and celebrate feast days together by saying special prayers and learning hymns. Iconography is an important teaching tool that allows us to deepen our worship. Support Saint George Classical Academy by purchasing a complete set of twelve feast day icons.

This spring, our students will perform Pinocchio. We need your help procuring and making costumes. We also need volunteer hands to support set creation and rehearsals. A volunteer must be available Wednesdays and Fridays from 12:30- 1:30 pm during January, February, and March. Additional time may be required outside of rehearsals to help prepare costumes.

Donation: Your time and the treasure required to make this happen! (Estimated at 40 hours of time and $250 for costumes and materials).

Offering hospitality is one of the basic tenets of Christianity, and it is important for us to show hospitality to our many visitors. Support this package, which includes a coffee maker, hot water heater, coffee, tea, mugs, and cookies.

Students enjoy a weekly tea time with Mrs. Joyce. We read together, discuss manners, and enjoy conversation while sipping tea. Support this beautiful tradition we are building that the students look forward to! A year’s supply of cookies, tea, honey, and “fancy” napkins.

We are incredibly grateful to have music woven throughout everything we do, from morning assembly to music classes for all children, including our Early Learners. We have been borrowing a piano, and the school would greatly benefit from owning our own electric piano that can be transported between spaces.
