Grand Opening Week

These are the students God brought us, and we couldn’t be more grateful for each and every one of them! Last week, students and families celebrated our grand opening and inaugural year with a series of activities and daily events:

  • On Monday, students were part of a scavenger hunt which ended by revealing each student’s “house saint.”  Our house model will provide a small community within the school community providing opportunities for multi age collaborations, and maintaining a small school feel as we grow, along with team building and a little healthy competition. This year we introduced two of our houses, St. Theodora and St. Nektarios.
  • On Tuesday, students created a dragon which will be displayed in the school.
  • On Wednesday, everyone wore their silliest socks to school and enjoyed special dragon cookies.
  • On Thursday, we had an all school field trip to the orchard, where we went on a hayride and picked apples. Families gathered for a cookout, yard games and caramel apples, while deepening relationships.
  • On Friday, we closed out the week with a school-wide kickball game between the two houses.

We are truly grateful for our talented teachers and the incredible families who joined this project in our inaugural year!
